The search for happiness is a most fundamental human instinct. Yet what it is or how to find it is not a subject that’s taught in schools.
Similarly, schools don’t teach you how to prioritize or how to manage stress, about social skills or what it takes to be actually successful at work, about kindness or goodness or how to have a healthy relationship. The list goes on and on. We’re taught math and science and english, but none of the fundamentals of living real life, much less making the most of it.
So, as part of a bigger project, I’m writing a living book¹ on what I believe are all the lessons we need to teach our children, so that they grow into self-sufficient, happy and—most importantly—good people. It’s all the knowledge and wisdom that’s not taught in schools—but should be.
My book is titled, The Art of Raising Humans. I’ve just started writing it, but you’re welcome to already check it out!¹ (All the content from this site makes up Book II. Happiness). Of course, if you have any lessons you would like to add, please do tell! I would love to incorporate them. Happy reading!
